(Daniel) Today was spent Fixing the New Shock mounts that Mum brought from England. I went out early and found a mechanic with welding equipment to help, then briefed them on what I was looking to do. Three hours later the job was done. Both Shock mounts had needed replacing, one had snapped entirely, having been repaired twice before since breaking for the first time in Koh Phangan, the other had developed hairline cracks, and would surely break soon.

After paying the mechanics for their time, we returned to the Hotel, where I fitted a fan and cut a hole in the rear panel for ventilation, meanwhile Mum and Nii organised the trailer and tidied the Wolf ready for our trip to the North of Laos and Luang Nam Tha tomorrow. I used a grinder to cut the hole in the aluminium panel, but it was thicker than I thought and proved quite difficult. In the end I had to abandon my idea of cutting and shaping fins in the back, for a hole which I hope to make a slatted vent to fit over the top of.

Mum and Nii did a great job of organising the vehicle, the fan made all the difference in the rear of the vehicle, and I managed to find a metal grille that should suffice until I can make a better cover for the huge hole which I made in the back!

After finishing up, we walked around the famous Luang Prabang night market, then ate dinner in a restaurant before going to bed, ready to leave tomorrow.
