The Home team are essential to the Expedition.  They are permanent points of contact, for us, and for others to get in touch with us.  This will serve as a safety measure, should we go out of contact for too long.  They will also liaise with Press here in England, and will collect the data which we send back.

Nick, Amy and Oliver will be joining Dan in Los Angeles, and should be able to drive most of the Central America leg together.  Here they are at my place, working hard!
