Friday 24th March 2006, London to Bath.

(Daniel) After picking the Wolf up in the early hours of this morning, I managed to get a few hours sleep before getting up again at 5 to collect the Team from Heathrow.

On arrival at the airport I spoke to Wenche on the phone who came out and fitted me with my microphone and transmitter.  Then we drove around again, having a brief interview for the Camera, and met Rowan, Gabby and Ole.  It was a bit of a shock for them that the high back seats had not been fitted yet, I assured them that the current set up was only temporary!

After picking up the Team, we travelled up the M4 to Swindon and our Communications sponsor, Alan UK.  They are providing us with radios and electrical items that will be very useful on the Expedition.   It was great to finally meet Colin and the guys, and we were able to test some of the equipment, and take away the radios which we would use for the weekends excursions.

We drove to Monkton Farleigh outside Bath, and got in touch with a local land owner who had agreed to let us use his land to test the trailer, tent and awnings. It was obvious after first experience of setting up the Howling Moon trailer tent that we will spend the next year fighting over!

After setting up we had a meeting to update everyone on current progress, this was mainly about me getting exited and showing everyone all the amazing modifications that had been carried out on the Wolf.   This was followed by a trip to a rustic village pub to charge batteries for the Cameras.  That particular problem will soon be a thing of the past, thanks to Alan UK, who have provided us with a vehicle mounted mains inverter.
