"The Wolf comes fitted with extra heavy duty suspension, but even this is not adequate for the rigours of our Expedition. I found that under extreme load, the Military Land Rover setup wallowed and rolled, so the boys at TBR suggested twin shock mountings, and OME dampers. They also suggested an anti-roll bar, although this will affect articulation, it will stabilise the vehicle when towing.
I opted for Super Heavy Duty replacement springs. There are a few options out there, but generally OME are accepted as the best, having already 3" or more of lift on the Wolf, there isn’t much difference from the outside. The other option were King Springs, but the OME version came in a bit cheaper, so without evidence that the extra expense was justified, OME it was.
The vehicle handles much better now, and is superb under load.”
